Pitching In

At Treasure Island Construction, we value being active and giving back to the community we love and call home, Roatan. Whenever we can, our entire crew is happy to pitch in and help out where needed.

Recently, we were alerted that the Policarpo Bonilla public school in the community of Corozal desperately needed some maintenance. So we made a fun weekend of it! All materials and labour were donated by Treasure Island Construction and our team spent two days painting, repairing and doing some upgrades.

Public schools in Roatan have minimal budgets and funding, making their physical condition pretty dire in some circumstances. Education is the key to the future of our island youth and being able to learn in a  safe, vibrant, well maintained facility is incredibly important.

We are hoping that the students and teachers enjoy the building makeover! Stay tuned as we will be back soon to help build a balcony for Policarpo Bonilla as well.

“Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.” ~ Anthony Robbins
